- 100% certificate suppliers provide is issued by NON Notified Body (NB) which accredited by EC. it means that could be risky for the importer to be seized by the EU authority (3% possibility to be sample checked by the authority)
- In the practice, most of the importer use these non accredited certificate to import and sell product in EU, under CE marking.
- To balance the cost spend on the certificate and the risk by seized by EU authority, the normal practice is: only test some high risk products (such as wall charger which harmful to people), and use non accredited certificate for low risk product (such as cable).
- There is very complex to scan, review and figure out which certificate is issued under latest EU directive and Testing Standard.
- Supplier always argue with you on whether the certificate is or not up to date.
- Spend much time and resource to do this.
